BiPhoria shortlisted for Pink award

First bi group to make the Pink shortlist?

For the first time in the annual Pink Paper’s Readers’ Awards a bisexual group has made the shortlist for the “Best LGBT Group” category. Manchester BiPhoria is listed alongside Icebreakers (also Manchester), GYRO in Liverpool, London group Opening Doors and national website

Jen from BiPhoria told BiMedia, “It’s brilliant to be the first bi group ever to make the ‘final five’ in the Pink Paper awards – though a bit of a surprise if we are the first, with many other bi groups doing great work around the UK over the last thirty years.

“We are celebrating sixteen years of BiPhoria and it’s a great boost reflecting on that long record of work in and for the bisexual community. Thanks to everyone who voted for us in round one – please do vote for us again!”

You can vote at the Pink Paper website now, and you don’t have to vote in every category.
