More bis than ever in the White House
This year’s annual White House Pride Month Reception will held tomorrow afternoon. Eight American bisexual community leaders and activists have been invited so a range of the country’s bi movement and organisations will be in attendance – more than ever before.
Groups invited include national umbrella group BiNet USA, the American Institute of Bisexuality, local groups in Minnesota and New York, and one of the authors of the ground-breaking 2011 San Francisco Human Rights Commission report “Bisexual Invisibility: Impacts and Recommendations”.
Five prominent bis were invited to last year’s White House LGBT event, and three and one bi activists in 2010 and 2009 respectively.
