Sweden equalises marriage law

From today marriage laws in Sweden will no longer discriminate on grounds of gender, so same-sex couples can now marry there both in religious and civil ceremonies.

Same-sex couples cannot yet get married in church ceremonies – the main Swedish church will decide whether to perform same-sex marriage ceremonies until October.
