Manchester city council took another step forward in engaging with the bisexual community today with a workshop asking ‘what bisexuals want’ as part of their annual lesbian, gay, bi and trans consultation event.

Session leader Jen Yockney told us: “Participants included representatives of the local police and NHS, and an elected councillor seeking to understand better how the council can engage with all the strands of LGBT, so it was a very encouraging and invigorating session to run.”

The day also received a message of support from Angela Mason, senior member of the Equality and Human Rights Commission, congratulating the city council on its record on “lesbian and gay issues”.
