Bi Visibility Day – a month to go

There’s a month now til Bi Visibility Day 2010 (September 23rd). The date has been marked – previously as International Celebrate Bisexuality Day, which is a bit more of a mouthful – since 1999, so this is the twelfth year.

We know many readers will be at BiCon in the interim – and if you could use help organising any awareness-raising events or even just plain social get-togethers to mark the date, that’d be a great place to find people to work with.

Last year saw a record-breaking level of activity, but there’s no reason why this year there can’t be even more events and press coverage. Events in 2009 ranged from a simple get-together in a function room at a bar, to outreach stalls and book readings.

If you have any plans, let us know at BiMedia.org (email us on newsdesk@…) so we can share them with the world. We can also pass them on to the UK info page about Bi Visibility Day which carries details of events to mark the date each year.
