Bi Bloggers

Do you blog about being bisexual, bisexuality, bi issues or bi representation?

Following a workshop at the 2010 BiCon, this site seeks to create a common forum (or “aggregator”) for UK-based bloggers writing about bi issues. We’re specifically focusing on the UK to help foster a community culture: there’s undoubtedly room for an international aggregator site too, but that’s not what we are trying to do here.

While BiBloggers has a growing team of contributors already, we’d love to find more, so if you’re interested, get in touch by commenting below with a link to your blog.

Finally: most blogging sites also let you take feeds based on post tags – so if most of your blog is about other things but there are bi posts that you tag as such, don’t feel you can’t join in too.

  1. I’ve started and have been blogging under the moniker “Bi Now, Bi Later” as a bisexual married male in the closet, trying to leave it, married to an out bisexual woman. I’d love to be part of this aggregation.

    Hi there…

My name’s Danny, and I’ve just taken up bisexual blogging, having been fairly active in the LGBT community here in New Zealand the last ten years. I identify as queer/bi and poly, though I have a whole lot isuues I’m working through with those, as I come from a very religious background. Mostly, I’m just keen to meet other people who are facing similar situations, because I really don’t know any bi people where I live (where are they all???) and have experienced a fair bit of prejudice and discrimination from both my Christian relatives and the Gay and Lesbian communities here. Are you interested in perspectives from the South Pacific?

    XD

Hiya Danny – we’re trying to make the aggregator have a UK focus to grow a sense of bi blogger community here. Not to knock the idea of an international one, just not what this is about – an international blog space brings lots more cross-cultural things given the different legal situations around the world and so forth.

However, I’d like to add you to the Bi Bloggers Abroad link list if that’s OK?

  4. I blog about various things including bi related items. Would you be interest in a general feed that won’t be just bi stuff or perhaps just some tagged posts like Katie’s?

I am interested in becoming a blogger for this site

Easy peasy. Start a blog, on the subject of bisexuality in the UK or with a /tag filter that just picks out the posts with that as their topics. Get some content moving, and point us at it!

I have recently begun a Bisexual blog under the name Purplelibertine and would love it if you would care to feature it here. http://purplelibertine.wordpress.com/

      Fab

If some of it will be on Other Things (as the first post suggests) might you want to tag those posts that are relevant with something, oh I dunno, “bi” say? :) then we can carry what’s pertinent here but blog entries that are entirely unrelated stay just over on your wordpress.

iamabisexual.blogspot.co.ukHi, I’m an out bi girl age 20 from Cambridge currently based in London. I’ve been blogging on ‘Being Bisexual’ http://www.iamabisexual.blogspot.co.uk since 2010, as a place to share my queer side and provide a personal resource for people who are questioning or only just realising their bisexuality, or even just those who are simply interested. “A journal of being bisexual in the 21st century. Views, experiences, advice, and more” is the tagline. Hope to be part of this aggregator!

Hey, I’m not sure how to create a bisexual only rss feed, but my bi-related posts are all tagged – http://catvix.blogspot.co.uk/search/label/bisexuality

Hello there! I’m based in Ireland at the moment, but I write about (among other things) bisexuality, queer stuff, scepticism, poly, feminism and tea. Especially tea. Tea’s great.

    Hello :)

Would love to be added to the list here. Not sure what I should be categorised as though! I’m based mostly in the UK and I blog about being bisexual, Bangladeshi and Muslim. I’ve documented my experience of bisexuality from the perspective of a fairly religious person. Right now I’m starting to write about coming out to friends and family from all over the world, with a little more focus on the UK and Bangladesh. Link: thebisexualbangladeshi.blogspot.com
