Brum Bi Group have announced this year’s Birmingham BiFest, to be held at the new Birmingham LGBT Centre in November. It will run from 11am to 6pm on Saturday 30th November.
The organisers say:
– Creative writing.
– Bi speed date/friend.
– Discussion session about light bondage.
– Sexual health talk.
– Burlesque performances, with some bisexual performers.
– There will be a “stitch and bitch” craft space.
“Still to be confirmed
– Bi Trans space.
– Film room.
– Bi Pride jewellery stall.
“While this is still to be a free event, as it has been so successful the past few years, this year as we have performers – any donations made made will go to them. So tell all your bisexual friends about Brum BiFest! Note this is a strictly 18 and over event, due to the nature of this years content. For those it may affect there is a lift in the building, that accesses all three floors.”
Also for Brum BiFest regulars, note that this is a different venue from in previous years. It is the same location that the Brum Bi Group use to host their monthly Tuesday meetings.

September23.bi.org, the website which started more than a decade ago to record UK events to mark the date now includes information about events elsewhere in the world too.
The site has had a major makeover to gel better with social media sites like Facebook and Twitter – and look a little less 1999.
It now aims to both record past and upcoming events to mark 23rd September each year, and to host and signpost resources and information useful to people doing bi visibility work both on the Day and all year round.
Day-long bisexual festival BiFest comes to Swansea this October as Bi Wales / Bi Cymru gives the city its first big bi event.
Details of Swansea BiFest are coming soon but in the meanwhile – put October 5th in your diary now and watch this space for more news.
