Launch Event and First Meeting of the new Bi Wales group took place at 3pm, 3rd November 2007, ‘Pulse’ bar, Cardiff
A new national forum for bisexual people in Wales has been launched! Bi Wales aims to provide a bisexual voice in policy making, to help tackle isolation faced by bi people across Wales and to help support new bi groups and events.
Thinking of setting up a local social / support group for bisexual people in your area but don’t know where to start? Help is at hand with a new downloadable “a to z” guide to running a local bi group.
The guide was written in response to a throwaway comment on the uk-bi email list that “it’s a shame there isn’t an A to Z to help you get started”. Naturally, some eager bi activists just took it as a challenge…
The West Yorkshire bi group is back in action after a long hiatus. Their next meeting is in 2 weeks time on Wed 14 Nov at the Art Cafe Bar, 62 Call Lane, Leeds (down from Duncan St) from 7.30pm.

A new Welsh bi network is set to launch following workshops at BiCon Trefforest.
The group has already set up a Facebook group, and an email list for those members who want to retain a little more anonymity. Find out more at http://cymru.bi.org/ or http://wales.bi.org/. The formal launch has been postponed from an original plan to coincide with Celebrate Bisexuality Day, so watch this space!
A new bisexual social-support group for Birmingham launches on 11th September, meeting monthly.
They say: “We’re putting the Bi in Birmingham, every 2nd Tuesday of the month at HGL Centre 146. Find us at 146 Bromsgrove St from 7.30, then at the Green Room on Hurst St from 9 for drinks.”
