Derby Pride

It’s Derby Pride tomorrow – a smaller Pride so not as crowded as London or Brighton. There will be a bi stall – drop by, say hello, even help out for a while if you can! Marching in the parade will happen if there are enough of us.

More information about Derby Pride is here on the event website.

– If you want to join in the parade, arrive between 10 – 10.30am at Forester Street for an 11am start. The marching banner will be at the stall, so if you think you are coming and want to march, it would help to be early and drop by to collect it and meet up with other marchers.

Setting the stall up will start around 10am at the Bass Recreation Ground.Derby Pride logo

London Pride: Bis On The March

Come to London Pride this Saturday – bi-ing up a delightful opportunity to take over London’s streets! The bi group in the parade will be meeting at the corner of Baker Street and Dorset Street, around 12.30 – parade moves off at 1pm.

Here’s a map of the route of the parade.

You don’t have to be bi to be join in!

The parade entry organisers say there’s a strong possibility of relaxing in a park after the parade. Elegant umbrellas and a brilliant banner will be available for holding/waving. And offers of assistance for the bi info stall gratefully received too.

If you can, wear purple! It helps the bi group to be visible.

It's Edinburgh Pride too!

bi scotlandThis year’s Pride Scotia takes place in Edinburgh this Saturday, 26 June (see their website here for full details).

Bis, friends, families, partners and allies all welcome to join Bi Scotland on the march – it leads off from East Market Street (close to Waverley station) at 1.30pm. Assembly of the march starts from 12.30pm – look out for their all-new “Bisexual Pride” banner – and for extra bi visibility purple umbrellas (whether to guard against the sun or rain!).

The march will go from Market Street up Jeffrey Street, down the Royal Mile, Abbeyhill, Abbey Mount, Royal Terrace, to Leith Walk, ending at the Omni Centre around 2.30pm.

They also hope to have a stall at the Community Fair, which will be taking place from 1.30 to 5pm in GHQ, 4 Picardy Place, so please drop in and find us and plenty of other groups and organisations.

If you are able to help staff the stall please get in touch (particularly if you’re not planning to attend the march and can therefore look after it before 2.30pm).

If anybody has trouble finding them, please phone the Bi Scotland phone on 0796 396 0321.

Manchester Pride marchers 2009

Manchester Pride’s bi presence today was a great success with banners and marchers on the Pride parade. A stall in the Lifestyle Expo area drew lots of interest and sign-ups for the regional email list; and there were plenty of new faces already wearing bi colours.

The stall will be there in the Expo again tomorrow and Monday – do come and join us!
