The Scottish Health Survey: Equality Groups (pdf)

0.9 % reported as bisexual, 0.8 % gay or lesbian, 0.9% other, 7% didn’t answer the orientation question, 91% heterosexual.

Bisexuals reported lower self-assessed health and also mental well-being (gay men and lesbians reported not significantly differently from the average) The psychological well-being scores were also significantly lower than average for bisexuals. Again gay men and lesbians tested not significantly differently from the average.

Bisexual smokers started on average at 15.9 years compared to the heterosexual average of 17.5.
