BiFest Wikipedia

Since it is LGBT history month:

In 1999 I went to London for the first BiFest “Festival of Bisexuality.” We met for a march through London to the venue, ULU, The University of London Students Union. Our numbers were quite small so police wanted us to go along the pavement rather than the road. At least one person didn’t want to take part in such a small group. I thought that central London marches were unlikely to be seen by anyone other than tourists and a few people there for the purpose. I was wrong about that: a number of years later I met someone, a cis-man, Chinese / British ethnicity I think, who saw us and seeing bisexuality represented was a great help to him in his struggles with his sexuality at the time. This makes me happy.
I had a streaming cold so wasn’t feeling very sociable but am glad I went, met Jen for the first time on a craft table I think, and helped make a tiny bit of bi history.

http://lgbt.wikia.com/wiki/BiFest is a little out of date.
