As the event itself can be attended for free I am setting up a Travel Fund for people who would not normally be able to come because the transport costs are too high.<\/p>\n<p>Meeting other bi people and being in a bi safe space has huge benefits for our well-being. I would hate for anyone to be excluded from that through no fault of their own.<\/p>\n<p>The fund could cover a bus\/taxi from somewhere in Leicester. Or a coach or train from places such as Loughborough, Nottingham, Derby, Birmingham, Peterborough, London, etc.<\/p>\n<p><strong>There are 3 options available:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Individual Fund (\u00a330 in the pot, open to anyone)<\/li>\n<li>Individual Fund BAME (\u00a330 in the pot, guaranteed for people of colour)<\/li>\n<li>Family Fund (\u00a330, to help parent\/guardian and child\/children attend together)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>To apply please email bigbifunday&amp;gmail.com by 31st March 2018<br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\nI will then try to get as many people to the event with the funds in the pots!<br \/>\n(A bit like a jigsaw?) I&#8217;m sorry this option isn&#8217;t perfect, but it seemed fairer than first come first serve?<\/p>\n<p><strong>In your email, please answer the following 6 questions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Would you like to apply for Option 1, 2, or 3?<\/li>\n<li>Where you are traveling from?<\/li>\n<li>What form of transport would you need to take?<\/li>\n<li>How much do you think it will cost?<\/li>\n<li>Would you need full costs covered, or will partial funding be enough?<\/li>\n<li>Whether you have any mobility issues that need to be taken into account<br \/>\n(e.g. you can&#8217;t walk far, so would need a taxi from train station to venue as well)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If your costs are going to be more than the money in the pot &#8211; e.g. \u00a339 return train fare <em>please email me anyway<\/em> and I will see what I can do. : D<\/p>\n<p><strong>Here&#8217;s how (I hope!) it will work<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>you email me your answers to the questions above<\/li>\n<li>on 1st April I email you to offer funds or apologise for not being able to help<\/li>\n<li>we have a discussion and agree a feasible transport plan together (nothing intrusive, just to check it will work for you, and that you won&#8217;t buy a plane ticket from Australia then demand money!)<\/li>\n<li>you buy the tickets and email me the receipt<\/li>\n<li>I reimburse you within 48 hours<\/li>\n<li>All details will be kept confidential between you and me<\/li>\n<li>I welcome you to BBFD on 12th May with open arms<\/li>\n<li>if you can&#8217;t come to BBFD because of ill health\/unavoidable situation &#8211; I won&#8217;t ask you to pay me back<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Where is the money coming from?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Hannah, the event organiser, has pledged \u00a390 for the Travel Fund.<\/p>\n<p>If you have some money to spare and want to help Hannah with these costs please donate by clicking <a href=\"https:\/\/www.paypal.com\/donate\/?token=Ist0C89kHYapAsXW0ahVofKZKJmH7WPzJ34tkf1C4yGunVJnuK-IL5Q0tMtNzWnK4777GW&amp;country.x=GB&amp;locale.x=GB\"  rel=\"noopener\">&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;here&lt;&lt;&lt;&lt;&lt;<\/a>.
