Game Review: Gone Home

Dec 19, 2017 ~ Written by bisexualblogs ~ Leave a Comment
Recently my beloved laptop of 8 years reached that point where it technically still worked but in reality was just not very practical. It took about 10 minutes to start up, 5 to open a program, and crashed if I tried to watch a video. Then the plug started sparking so it was definitely time to go shopping. The new laptop is bringing me a lot [...]

Bi Erasure in Doctor Who: Clara

Dec 16, 2017 ~ Written by bisexualblogs ~ Leave a Comment
If you have the pleasure/misfortune to know me then I’m sure that if you were asked to describe me in 3 words, ‘Doctor Who’ would be two of them. I’ve been obsessed with it my entire adult life. Had I not been born in what fans dub ‘the dark years’ (the period between the late-80s and 2005 when it was off t [...]

Handing Over Your Bi Group

Nov 06, 2017 ~ Written by bisexualblogs ~ Leave a Comment
After setting up and/or running a bi group the day will inevitably come when it is time to leave it. This could be temporary or permanent. It could be because you want more free time, you want less responsibility, you’re leaving the area, or you’re burnt out. Maybe it’s just not interesting or fun anymore. These are all vali [...]

Queer Subtext in My Little Pony: The ...

Oct 30, 2017 ~ Written by bisexualblogs ~ Leave a Comment
I am lodger in a family home and one of the children living there is a five year old girl. Let’s call her Twinkle Bum for the sake of anonymity. She likes the kind of things you would expect a five year old to like, such as colouring in and jumping up and down on my bed when I’m trying to get ready for work in the morning. One day [...]

Event Review: Butch, please!

Oct 26, 2017 ~ Written by bisexualblogs ~ Leave a Comment
I’ve been in London about a year and a half now and during that time I’ve really struggled to find a regularly occurring safe space where I feel happy to hang out and can meet other people like me. I think I’ve felt the absence of that in my life more because I’d lived in Manchester (which has one of the largest bi sce [...]

Hannah Bee’s Bisexual Blogs Ranked on...

Oct 25, 2017 ~ Written by bisexualblogs ~ Leave a Comment
In the middle of a long and busy work day today I checked my personal emails during lunch and found a message which made me smile. It was from a website called Feedspot, who’d contacted me because they’d made a list of the top 50 blogs & websites for the bisexual community and this site was on it. (Number 39, although is it me [...]

Advice from Workshops: Coming Out

May 16, 2017 ~ Written by bisexualblogs ~ Leave a Comment
Last month I presented a workshop on coming out at London BiFest 2017. You can read more about it here. As part of the workshop I asked participants to share their tips & advice on coming out and said that I would post it online afterwards so people can use it as a resource. Every time I present this workshop I will add to the list- but p [...]

Workshop Outline: Coming Out

May 16, 2017 ~ Written by bisexualblogs ~ Leave a Comment
In April I presented a workshop at London BiFest. I wanted to share my notes on here so that anyone who is thinking about running a session at an event can use this as a resource or a place to get ideas. The first thing I did was write an outline for the session guide which had to be submitted in advance. You can see the guide from London BiF [...]

BiTopia at Notts Pride 2016 — Bi Nott...

Nov 08, 2016 ~ Written by bisexualblogs ~ Leave a Comment
Here is a very belated post to share photos from our third time participating in the Nottinghamshire Pride Parade in July. I started the morning by arriving early to meet people who wanted to join BiTopia for the parade through the city centre. I know there are reservations and criticisms regarding the commercialisation of Prides […] via BiT [...]

Pre-Kiss Checklist

Oct 02, 2016 ~ Written by bisexualblogs ~ Leave a Comment
Earlier in the year I met a really cool woman whilst out and about in London. We got chatting and went for drinks and to my delight got on so well we agreed to meet up again later in the week . However as far as I was concerned this was only for friendship – and I hadn’t said or done anything to indicate otherwise. So Friday arriv [...]

BiBloggers was launched in September 2010 following a bisexual blogging workshop at the 10th International Conference on Bisexuality in London, UK.

Jen Yockney brought the idea of a site that shared bi blogs to the workshop and a couple of weeks later, with hosting from BiMedia.org, the site was born.
